Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading telecommunications providers, has introduced an AI-powered fraud detection system to help protect its mobile and broadband users from online scams and cyber fraud. Automatically enabled for all customers, the new service uses artificial intelligence to block access to known malicious websites in real time. The system uses AI-driven DNS (Domain Name System) filtering to monitor internet traffic and identify potentially harmful websites. This protection is available across email, messaging apps (such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and SMS), social media (including Facebook and Instagram), and web browsers. Operating at the network level, the solution requires no action from users and provides automatic, ongoing protection for Airtel customers.

The fraud detection service is currently active for Airtel subscribers in the Haryana circle, with plans for nationwide rollout in the coming weeks. Airtel states that the solution provides real-time detection across digital platforms, though independent comparisons with other telecom providers’ systems are not yet available.
